Title: One Application of Big Data and AI in Trader Selection

Speaker: Dr. Qifeng Liu, Financial Data Technologies Limited

Abstract:
Huge economic benefits for trading companies can stem from an
intelligent method of trader selection. In this presentation, I first
briefly review the state-of-art of big data and AI technologies as
well as their core challenges. Secondly, I introduce how to record big
data of trading behavior in a systematic way. Finally, the modelling
and evaluation of trader selection are presented.

The presentation will be conducted in Putonghua.

Biography:
Dr. Qifeng Liu is currently a senior data scientist and the Head of
Big Data Division of FDT (Financial Data Technologies Limited). His
group focuses on trader selection, risk management, and wealth
management by leveraging the power of big data and AI. Dr. Liu
obtained his PhD degree from Chinese Academy of Sciences at 2015.
Before joining FDT, he worked for Yahoo! Lab, Samsung Lab, and an SoC
startup briefly. He published 20+ academic papers and is holding 20+
patents over a wide field crossing over algorithms, hardware and
products.
