Title: Recent Development of Research Data Management at CUHK

Speaker: Wendy Hoi-Yan Wong, Research Data Librarian, CUHK Library

 

Abstract:

With the growing importance of Research Data Management (RDM) in the research life cycle, CUHK has set up the Committee on RDM, implemented the RDM guidelines, and provided related services.  Meanwhile, funding agencies and publishers are imposing new RDM requirements. To keep you up to date with the current developments, this seminar will cover:

•           Introduction to RDM at CUHK

•           Guidelines on RDM

•           Benefits of RDM

•           Creating Data Management Plans (DMPs) with the CUHK DMP Template

•           Depositing Research Data in the CUHK Research Data Repository

 

Biography:

Wendy Hoi-Yan Wong is the Research Data Librarian at The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) Library. She previously worked there as the CLIR Postdoctoral Fellow (Digital Scholarship). She is now responsible for establishing and providing research data service to support data management in research projects. Wong was awarded her doctoral degree in Music by CUHK and Master of Science in Library and Information Science by the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. With this background, she conducted data analytics projects to revisit topics on Hong Kong Literature and music with data available at CUHK.
